Our ambassador - Hans Petri
The Carpenter Concerts Foundation proudly welcomes Hans Petri as its ambassador!
Hans is one of the pioneers who demonstrated how technology and art can strengthen one another.
Driven by a deep conviction that new media can enrich the experience of music and theatre, he has brought the classical performing arts closer to audiences all over the world.
In 2000, Hans and his wife Tricia Petri-Clark founded Opus Arte, producing more than three hundred music and arts programs for leading broadcasters in the Netherlands and abroad.
Their productions received numerous prestigious awards, including the Golden Angel Award in Hollywood for the recording of Handel’s Messiah with The Choir of King’s College, as well as several Grammy nominations.
Other productions were honoured with the MIDEM, Gramophone, and Diapason d’Or awards.
Under his leadership, Opus Arte became the first classical label to release titles on Blu-ray and one of the pioneers in bringing opera and ballet to digital cinemas.
In 2007, the company was acquired by The Royal Opera House in London — a remarkable milestone in the history of the performing arts.
After this period, Hans and Tricia founded PetriArts Consultants, collaborating closely with organizations such as Opera Australia and The Australian Ballet.
Through these partnerships, they have continued to make the arts more accessible via modern media and live cinema.
Their project Window on the World, developed in cooperation with Rotary Scotland, reflects the same vision: bringing culture to everyone, everywhere.
Hans’s work embodies the same spirit that defines Carpenter Concerts — excellence, innovation, and dedication to nurturing young musicians.
That Hans has chosen to lend his name and vision to our foundation is a true gift: a source of inspiration and confidence for the future.
