Our ambassadeur - Hans Petri

Carpenter Concerts is proud to welcome Hans Petri as ambassador!

Hans Petri is among the pioneers who have demonstrated how technology and the arts can enrich one another. Guided by a deep conviction that new media can deepen the experience of music and theatre, he has brought the classical performing arts closer to audiences around the world.

In 2000, Hans, together with his wife Tricia Petri-Clark, founded Opus Arte, producing more than three hundred music and arts programmes for leading broadcasters both nationally and internationally. Their productions have received prestigious awards, including the Golden Angel Award in Hollywood for their recording of Handel’s Messiah with The Choir of King’s College, as well as nominations for several Grammy Awards. Other productions were honoured with the renowned MIDEM, Gramophone and Diapason d’Or awards.

Under his leadership, Opus Arte became the first classical label to release titles on Blu-ray, and one of the first to bring opera and ballet to digital cinemas. In 2007, the company was acquired by the Royal Opera House in London, marking a significant milestone in the world of the performing arts.

Following this period, Hans and Tricia founded PetriArts Consultants. Since then, they have worked closely with organisations such as Opera Australia and The Australian Ballet, applying their expertise to make the arts more accessible through modern media and live cinema.

The project Window on the World, developed by Hans in collaboration with Rotary Scotland, further reflects his vision, bringing culture to audiences everywhere, regardless of location.

His work embodies the same spirit that defines Carpenter Concerts: quality, innovation, and a deep commitment to young musicians. That Hans has chosen to lend his name and vision to our foundation is a great gift, a source of inspiration and confidence for the future.
