Beneath the high vaults of the Ruïnekerk in Bergen, a world of its own briefly came into being. Charlotte Yang (19) and Pieter Brokking (19) took us on a musical journey through time and place, with music from West to East and from the Baroque to the twentieth century. The evening was filled with Charlotte's most beloved pieces and connected us with her love for the music of both her familiar China and our familiar West. With works by Händel, Bellini, Brahms, Copland, Zhao Jiping and more, Charlotte and Pieter enchanted the audience. The closing piece, the Dutch song 'Aan de Amsterdamse Grachten', sung by Charlotte in Dutch, was especially appreciated by the audience and received with great applause. A truly successful evening!
